Edge glued panels are produced with a special technique to maximize the lifetime of wood by eliminating the natural flaws.
Edge glued panel which is produced with the right technology, gives the dimension which is not possible naturally.
The usage of edge glued panels or laminated wood versus lumber is rather lower than the world average. In developed countries the percentage is rising on the panels side.
The wood culture in our country has not developed yet. Before the introduction of the alternative products, the wood suppliers did not invest in new technology due to huge demand for the product.
After the alternatives were intorduced, solid wood became an expensive, high maintenance and problematic product in the eyes of the customer.
For the contractors the usage of alternative products were tempting, due to their handiness, structual homogenity and quality constancy.
The customer instantly lost its interest in the more durable yet expensive wood. So instead of using A type Timber in such circumstance, B type wood has been used, there fore installments could not stand the test of time.
Due to reasons mentioned above, solid wood became the material used by the upper classes only. There must be appropriate explanations to promote the use of solid and laminated wood.
Hence the reasons, we invested in laminated wood with our 50 year old Timber experience.
Wood must regain its worth, because as it is mentioned in the European Union manifest; to stop the globe from ultimate destruction:
“tackle climate change, use wood”
